Power Stations Worldwide is an independent reference atlas. It combines sourced electricity data with explanations of how to interpret it.

How we prepare answers

We prioritise official energy agencies, system operators, dataset publishers and technical reference material. Guide sections link their supporting sources. Original explanations and illustrative calculations are separate from observations about real plants.

What the data can tell you

Plant records retain provider names, source dates and reported owner/operator fields where available. We do not infer missing ownership or treat a missing inventory as zero generation. Historical status is not current availability. Review the coverage report and the source attached to a record before using it.

Review and corrections

Guide review dates describe editorial checks, not the date of every underlying observation. Inventory updates follow their own source snapshots. When a source changes, corrections should retain provenance and update the relevant explanation, data and review date together. The methodology page explains source selection and reuse.

Advertising

No ads are currently displayed. If advertising is introduced, placements will be labelled and separated from map controls, source links and editorial text. Ads will not change the definitions, ranking methods or reported plant facts. Publisher verification alone does not activate ads.

Advertising requires the publisher account and site to be approved, and applicable consent controls to be configured and tested before ad requests are enabled. Our privacy page describes the services active today.

The brand icon was created using ChatGPT image generation. It is a visual identity, not a technical grid diagram. Fuel symbols distinguish technologies; they are not electrical protection or wiring symbols.
