DATED COMPANY REPORTS · GLOBAL WIND FLEETS

Compare reported service portfolios

How much wind capacity do companies report servicing? These two annual reports describe their fleets at 31 December 2025. Capacity under service is a more useful activity measure than the number of service products advertised.

  1. Vestas

    161 GW under service

Wind capacity under service · More than 56,000 turbines · Reporting date: .

    Vestas Annual Report 2025, p. 35
  2. Nordex

    48.3 GW under service

Nominal wind capacity under service worldwide · 13,868 turbines · Reporting date: .

    Nordex Annual Integrated Report 2025, p. 31

Company-reported snapshots, not live contract counts or a complete industry ranking. Other companies are unmeasured here, not zero. Definitions and contract scopes can differ. These global figures stay separate from the filtered atlas records below and do not identify a site's current contractor. 1 GW = 1,000 MW.

OFFICIAL COMPANY REFERENCES

Manufacturers & service providers

Explore companies like Vestas, Siemens Gamesa and solar equipment suppliers. These company-described offerings are not endorsements or evidence of an active contract at a listed site. Equipment warranties and whole-plant O&M are different services. Reviewed 2026-09-30.

Coverage, company roles and counting

This explorer uses the atlas’s wind and solar inventory. Missing company fields are excluded from comparisons, not assigned to an invented owner. Placeholder labels such as “Unknown” and “Private Developer” are not treated as company names. Coverage is particularly incomplete where sources omit ownership.

Only whitespace and letter case are normalised. Joint-owner names remain as supplied. Semicolon-separated manufacturer lists are split into supplier associations. A record appears once per company and selected role; a farm with multiple manufacturers can appear for each supplier. Its whole-farm rating cannot be attributed to one supplier, so associated capacities overlap and must not be added across companies.

Counts combine the source’s own record units, including turbines, units and sites. Rankings are by those records, not by distinct wind farms or solar parks. Capacity ratings can also mix AC/DC and site/unit definitions. Ownership shares, mergers, current contracts and generation are not inferred.

UK DESNZ REPD supplies operator/applicant fields and operational classifications. Danish Energy Agency supplies historical turbine manufacturers. Norway NVE supplies wind-farm ownership and turbine suppliers. WRI’s historical database contributes many owner fields; these do not establish current operations.

Read all data sources and snapshot limits, solar capacity definitions and wind-farm ratings and output. Existing country inventories provide linked, static plant lists.
